About
The operator
I'm Joshua Ford, a NetSuite administrator and amateur radio operator (KJ5IRQ) in Texas. I like systems that are understandable, and I build the missing pieces when they aren't. Usually tinkering with something.
The arc
I started in warehouse operations, learned the systems that ran the place, and kept following them upstream until I owned the ERP. Today I run NetSuite for a Texas ISP at the director level: workflow design, integration plumbing, and automation that has to survive real users.
The same habit runs the rest of my life. My radio node has a REST API and an MCP server because I wanted to script it. My homelab exists so experiments break at home instead of anywhere that matters. The pattern is always the same: learn the system end to end, then automate the boring parts.
What I work with
- NetSuite administration, workflows, and integrations
- Python, FastAPI, and small services that do one job well
- Model Context Protocol and practical, local-first AI tooling
- AllStarLink, EchoLink, and amateur radio infrastructure
- Proxmox, Linux, and home automation
